DUBAI: The wait is over – Toyota has officially rolled out its first-ever Land Cruiser LC300 Hybrid in the UAE, marking a historic evolution of one of the world’s most iconic off-road vehicles.

Blending seven decades of rugged reliability with advanced hybrid technology, this electrified flagship brings power, efficiency, and innovation to the region’s roads and deserts.

Here are ten key facts about the all-new hybrid model now available across the Emirates.

First hybrid model

For the first time in the Land Cruiser’s 70-year history, Toyota has introduced a hybrid version.

The LC300 Hybrid debuts in the UAE ahead of its global rollout, underscoring the Middle East’s longstanding relationship with the Land Cruiser legacy.

457hp power output

The LC300 Hybrid delivers a formidable 457 horsepower and 790Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Land Cruiser to date. The hybrid system combines a 3.5L Twin Turbo V6 petrol engine with an advanced parallel hybrid setup for high performance on- and off-road.

Improved acceleration

Toyota reports a 20% increase in torque and a 40% enhancement in throttle response compared to non-hybrid variants. The result is a smoother, faster, and more responsive driving experience, especially on rugged terrain.

Off-road ready

Developed and tested across global terrains – including the deserts and rocky escarpments of the UAE – the LC300 Hybrid retains Toyota’s signature off-road durability. It incorporates lessons from events like the Dakar Rally to improve performance in extreme conditions.

Hybrid reliability

The hybrid system has been engineered with off-road reliability in mind. In case of hybrid system failure, the vehicle can continue to run solely on its combustion engine.

The battery system is waterproofed, allowing the SUV to maintain its river fording capabilities.

Electric power steering

The new Electric Power Steering (EPS) reduces steering effort at low speeds and enhances stability on rough ground. It also reduces steering kickback during off-road driving, ensuring greater control and comfort for the driver.

Built-in power supply

A 1500W AC inverter is built into the hybrid model, allowing occupants to power household-grade appliances and electrical tools using the car’s 220V output.

This makes it particularly useful for outdoor activities and overlanding in remote locations.

Available trims

The LC300 Hybrid is available in two trims in the UAE: the VXR and the GR-S.

The VXR offers refined styling and luxury features, while the GR-S (Gazoo Racing Sport) trim is built for high-performance off-road experiences. The VXR also features exclusive Hybrid Jet Black bumpers.

Exterior badging

Toyota has updated the LC300 Hybrid’s exterior with unique identifiers, including HYBRID Beyond Zero badges at the rear and 457TT badges on the sides. These elements distinguish the hybrid model from the standard petrol variants.

Aligned with UAE vision

The launch of the hybrid LC300 supports the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 strategy by offering a lower-emission alternative without sacrificing capability. Al-Futtaim Toyota has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable mobility with this release, aligning with the country’s environmental goals.
